CRPA ...Your Professional Parks and Recreation Network
The Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of all recreation and parks services within the state of Connecticut.
Dating back to the creation of CRPA in 1949, we have always taken pride in our professionalism and our mission to promote public awareness of and support for the social, personal, environmental and economic benefits of leisure services and recreational facilities in the lives of individuals and in the community.
CRPA now boasts a membership of over 600 professionals in cities and towns across Connecticut. Our members represent agencies, practitioners, students, businesses and interested citizens in all levels of service in the parks and recreation field, including public, private, therapeutic, commercial and educational settings.
The Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association has adopted the volunteer certification plan for parks and recreation personnel throughout the country. The purpose of the plan is to establish a measurable standard for the recreation, park resources, and leisure service professional in Connecticut. (Find out more Click Here)
